POLICE are investigating a burglary in Popley where a car was stolen from the property.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident on January 16.

The house in Bermuda Close, Popley was broken into between midnight and 6am.

Items stolen included a purse, wallets, keys, bank cards, two watches and a blue Subaru Impreza.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in the Chineham area.

This comes three days after reports of a stolen Audi R8 in Homesteads Road, Kempshott. However, police say that the two incidents are not related 

Officers are advising residents to ensure their homes are secure and to keep any keys out of sight to prevent this type of crime.
