Arson investigation underway after fire damages three cars
AN ARSON investigation has started after three vehicles parked in a Basingstoke street were damaged by fire.
Firefighters were called to Lancaster Road, South View, at around 1am this morning, to a report that an Audi Q7 was on fire.
When they arrived, they saw that the fire had spread to two cars parked nearby – a VW Camper Van and a Volvo car.
A crew of four firefighters from Basingstoke fire station put out the blaze. Police officers were also on the scene.
The Audi Q7 car was totally destroyed by fire, while the other two vehicles were partially damaged.
