TWO thugs grabbed a young man in Oakridge, rifled through his jeans and stole his sunglasses.
The robbery took place at around 4.15pm on Monday, June 22, on a grassy area by Vivian Road, close to Oakridge Towers.
Police believe there would have been other pedestrians in the area at the time of the robbery and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The robbery began when the two men approached the 20-year-old victim and demanded property from him.
They grabbed his sunglasses, worth £5, and went through his jeans before he managed to break free.
Police said the victim suffered "some reddening to his face" but was otherwise uninjured.
Both suspects are described as white and around 5ft 8ins tall.
The first one was of average build, bald and wore a white t-shirt and grey jogging bottoms with a blue stripe up the side.
The second one was skinny, with curly brown hair to the top of his ears, and wore blue, baggy jeans and a dark-coloured jumper.
