A VIDEO of a terminally ill little boy from Basingstoke meeting his superhero has gone viral on the internet – and has been watched by over a million people.
Mike Wilson posted the clip of his son Jayden on Youtube on Sunday, showing him meeting Spider-Man on his fifth birthday, as he jumped down from the roof of the house to greet Jayden.
The surprise was set up by Mike, a member of the world-famous 3RUN group, who had the replica costume created especially so he could wear it on his son’s birthday. As previously reported in The Gazette, Jayden was diagnosed with a grade four brain stem tumour in September last year, and was given just a year to live.
Mike wanted to give his son an extra special birthday gift, and said: “I’m so proud I managed to do this for him.”
The video, which you can watch below, shows Mike, disguised as Spider-Man, land in front of a shocked Jayden outside his front door, before asking him if he is having a good birthday, and carrying him inside.
