In division two, AFC Riverdene dominated the first half of their match, getting first to the ball on long, thick grass; Carl Saunders got two and Simon Harrison to establish a three-goal lead at the break, Ross Mortlock pulled one back for Fitness First, but an own goal and the completion of Carl Saunders' hat-trick took Riverdene to the top of the table. Republic of Chineham streaked into a first-half lead through Paul Donovan, Adam Dimanbro and Marco Marisu, but APPH United made a sensational comeback with strikes by Matthew Penbury Dave Wildish, and brace from Tony Wilton. CES Rovers started their campaign with a draw at AC Marstons, with Paul Coventry scoring for Rovers and Matt Wilson replying. Cricket Club went one better in their belated start to their season, Jason Graham netted four goals to crown a superb debut, Danny Burgess one; Ben Searle and Russell Smith got consolation goals for FC Popinjay.
