ACCLAIMED parody production Six Chick Flicks gears up for its UK tour, with Basingstoke slated for Thursday, May 30.

Showcasing six of the most-loved chick flicks, the performance promises a comical feminist take, original tunes and dances, and unforgettable improvised moments.

Six Chick Flicks, screened from 7.30pm on May 30 at The Haymarket, recounts the highlights of Titanic, Pretty Woman, Beaches, Legally Blonde, The Notebook, and Dirty Dancing.

The lively duo, KK Apple and Kerry Ipema, bring this two-hour banquet of laughs to life.

The brains behind this hilarious work are Kerry Ipema and TJ Dawe, accomplished writers whose past endeavours like One Woman Sex and the City received wide acclaim.

Performing artist Kerry Ipema wears multiple hats including those of an actor, writer and podcaster hailing from New York City.

Her podcast Truly Darkly Creeply is an established production, and she continues to be a part of One Woman Sex and the City. With a robust background in comedy and filmmaking, KK Apple steals the stage.

As an alumni of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, her most recent work titled The Launch debuted at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2023.

Dawe, the co-writer, boasts an impressive roster of stage parodies he co-created and directed including the likes of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Batman. His collaborations encompass works with Richard Dreyfuss and the founding editor of The Onion Scott Dikkers.
