A SALON in Basingstoke is celebrating after being recognised in a set of industry awards.

The Beauty Spot, in Cliddesden Road, has been named as a finalist in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2024, in the Best for Aesthetics category.

Owner Emma Silcox opened the salon in 2012, offering a wide range of beauty treatments including waxing, electrolysis, massage, and spray tanning, as well as radiofrequency microneedling, mesotherapy and more.

She said: "I’ve been a beauty therapist for over 25 years and what I love is helping people feel good in a way that doesn’t risk their wellbeing and actually improves the health of their skin.

"To be recognised for that by these national awards is a fantastic honour and reinforces the quality of the work we do."

The salon was also a finalist in the 2023 awards, which seeks to support industry talent nationwide, 'no matter their financial or social status'.

Emma says the salon has a range of both male and female clients, who 'all want to look and feel their best'.

She added: "The great thing about aesthetic treatments like radiofrequency microneedling, body sculpting and mesotherapy is that they are non-invasive, more cost-effective and far safer than plastic surgery.”

The winners will be announced at a VIP red carpet event in June, which will feature celebrity guests including Aston Merrygold and Jake Quickenden.

Emma continued: "We are delighted to be recognised once again in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards and can’t wait for the results."
