The 7Artists+ is making an exciting return to Basingstoke, boasting a new collective of 10 multi-disciplined artists for Open Studios 2024.
Situated at the historic Proteus Creation Space, a former Victorian School building located in Council Road, the exhibition runs from May 4 until May 12. It is open each day from 10am to 5pm.
Visitors are set to gain an immersive experience in the domain of wearable, usable, decorative and sculptural art pieces, alongside contemporary and traditional wall art, paintings and photographs.
Each artist engages with their creative mediums to make unique pieces that explore an intent or vision, redefining convention.
From thought-provoking intrigue, quiet calm or a vibrant explosion of colour, the 7A+ exhibition compliments the wider body of work by more than 300 artists displayed at Insight throughout May for Open Studios 2024.
The distinguished talent pool includes Caroline Moore, Consuelo Simpson, Gaila Adair, Gareth Jones, Jackie Purtill, Rachel Davis, Ross Buckner, Sam Van Zyl, Sue Crook, and Tracey Clarkson.
The Proteus Creation Space sets the bar high for hospitality, priding themselves on its onsite coffee shop.
Serving up delightful sweet treats with hot and cold drinks, it is the perfect spot for a get-together and refreshments after a wander through the exhibit.
Free parking is also available on-site, just register your car at reception.
