The Theatre Royal Winchester is set to entertain children and adults with a puppet packed rendition of The Singing Mermaid – from April 13.

The tale, based on a Julia Donaldson's children's story, will transport the audiences to a fantasy world of a musical mermaid who gets lured into a travelling circus.

Much to the mermaid's dismay, her journey turns bitter as she is slyly tricked by the circus master, leaving viewers intrigued about her fate.

The Singing Mermaid is brought to life by Little Angel Theatre and Royal & Derngate, Northampton and presented by Watershed Productions.

The three talented performers, accompanied by the captivating music and songs of Barb Jungr (known for We're Going On A Bear Hunt), promise to make the puppet-filled story a delightful experience.

Best suited for audiences aged between 3 – 8 years, the play is a perfect family outing. The Singing Mermaid will be performed at various times from Saturday 13 to Sunday April 14.
