RESIDENTS at a Basingstoke care home enjoyed a lively night of melodies from Thames Valley Chorus.
The Reading based male-voice choir sang songs from popular films at the event, which was organised by care providers Barchester Healthcare for residents of St Thomas Care Home, in St Thomas Close, Norden.
The chorus members come from all walks of life and share a passion for close-harmony ditties, featuring chart-topping hits, musical theatre, powerful ballads, and the odd gospel-style number.

Phillip Ward, leader of the Thames Valley Chorus, said: "It has been a great pleasure to meet so many people, having an opportunity to chat with the residents following our singing performance; our group looks forward to coming back to the home."
General manager at the home, Malgorzata Zbroch, said: "Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with the wonderful performers. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at St Thomas Care Home as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites.”
St Thomas Care Home has 66 residents being provided with nursing care and dementia care.
