A BASINGSTOKE restaurant is celebrating after achieving the top food hygiene rating.
Meldiz Turkish Restaurant, in Winchester Street, announced that it has achieved a five-out-fof-five rating on Friday, February 23.
A post on the business’s Facebook page said: “We are proud to announce our 5-star rating this afternoon!

“We want to thank everyone at Meldiz, our fantastic staff and our amazing customers who have helped us achieve this rating. Meldiz will continue to keep our standards high and ensure that every customer has the Meldiz experience.
“Thank you.”
This is an improvement for the restaurant, which previously had a four-out-of-five star food hygiene rating following an inspection in 2022.
