BASINGSTOKE and Deane Borough Council has introduced a free online learning platform to enhance local businesses and their workforce skills.

Starting on March 4, access to the free online learning platform with SEEDL is being offered to businesses and provides a variety of interactive online courses encompassing areas such as sales, customer service, wellbeing, and Office 365.

The live, instructor-led courses, delivered remotely, are designed so that participants can ask questions and get the most from the training.

Council leader, Cllr Paul Harvey, said: "Offering online courses is part of a shared drive to improve skills and education to support businesses in the borough, helping our local economy to thrive.

"We hope that by opening up this free online training platform, it will provide a welcome opportunity for people to access further education at a time that suits them and for businesses to support their employees by investing in their professional development."

The council claims one of the unique features of this platform is the unlimited number of courses someone can attend.

On completion, a certificate that can be downloaded to showcase personal advancement in acquiring additional skills and knowledge is made available to the learner.
