PANCAKE Day was celebrated in style at a Basingstoke care home with a mobile pancake station.
Barchester's Ashcombe House, in Worting Road, made the annual celebration fully inclusive to all, with the creation of a mobile pancake station, designed to go about the home's lounge and the residents’ rooms.

The staff went around the care home doing a live pancake flip before offering a choice of toppings, which included chocolate spread, golden syrup and the all-time favourite choice of lemon and sugar.
The day brought back memories to the residents of their childhood days, as they relished the pancakes.
The care home has a varied life enrichment programme, that provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities which aims to keep the residents active.
