TWO Basingstoke boys are making a big impact in the badminton world by winning medals at various tournaments.

Sai Charan Kannan and George Manoj have smashed various Badminton England competitions with their latest triumphs including gold at the Sankey Badminton Academy U11 tournament and Warwickshire U11 bronze.

But their winning streak doesn't stop there.

In the open doubles category, the duo consistently dominated, clinching gold in all three tournaments they entered.

Sai Charan and George are currently ranked fourth and sixth in the country, and first and second in Hampshire county, respectively.

An Oakridge Junior School student, Sai Charan's versatility shines as he competes in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. 

George, a student at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, showcases his skills in singles and doubles.

Both boys train intensively at the Winchester Performance Centre (WPC), honing their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Their talent was recently recognised by Badminton England, who selected them for a prestigious training event featuring the top 8 ranked under-11 players in the country.
