A UKULELE Orchestra will be in Basingstoke to thrill audiences with its all-singing, all-plucking performance next month.
George Hinchcliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain makes a welcome return to The Anvil on Friday, March 1.
A celebrated musical juggernaut for four decades, as soon as they walk on stage, audience members know they are in safe hands.
Thrilling audiences from Tasmania in the South Pacific to Svalbard in the arctic circle, Windsor Castle to Carnegie Hall, the all-singing, all-plucking Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britian continues to break the mould with a programme of new tunes as well as old classics.

Witty, quirky and irreverent, playful, virtuosic and wickedly amusing, both fun and actually funny, you can expect ‘an evening of sheer entertainment’ from this eccentric group of seasoned performers.
A live gig by these genre-bending rebels is an awesome, foot-stomping obituary of rock ‘n’ roll and melodious light entertainment all played on the ‘bonsai guitar’. Add to this a menagerie of voices in a collision of post-punk performance and toe-tapping oldies, and a good night out is had by all.
