Work has also taken place to install a new plant room for the steam room and the spa pool.

Improvements to enhance the facility for customers have also been carried out including new tiling, new furniture, and deep cleaning of the facility.

Plans to replace the spa pool have also been brought forward by the council to complement the new facilities in the health suite.

Work to deliver this additional investment is expected to take place before April.

Contract manager for Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust (BDCLT) Guy Baber said: “The upgraded health suite looks fantastic! I would like to once again thank Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for funding this project and continuing to invest in the health and wellbeing needs of this community.”

Cabinet member for sports, leisure, and culture, Cllr Kerry Morrow said: "This is fantastic news for local residents and the wider network of customers who use Tadley Health and Fitness Centre. Loyal members know that the health suite has been in need of repair and I'm happy to report that the refurbishment not only looks great but also includes brand new plant behind the scenes. The investment in this council-owned building will undoubtedly benefit our residents and their wellbeing."
