In answer to Carole Wilson’s Letter on July 12, titled 'town deserves its own Post Office'.
It is no use writing letters to the Gazette, the borough council or Hampshire County Council.
Have you forgotten it was the Government who closed most of the Post Offices down?
Before the one at the Top of Town closed, notices went up saying ‘use it, or lose it.’
Not enough used it, so then it went into the shop, so they don’t have the cost of a building.
So may I suggest all those that are unhappy with this situation, and I know there are many, spend time writing to the government, that’s the only way.
