BASINGSTOKE community organisation U3A is inviting residents of all abilities to join their exciting lineup of activities.

From ballroom dancing to historical excursions, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

U3A's ballroom dancing group recently held a vibrant celebration in honour of the coronation.

Participants donned their finest red, white, and blue attire as they danced the day away to a mix of ballroom, Latin American, and party tunes.

The event was a tremendous success, with attendees reveling in the lively music and engaging dance routines.

To top it off, a scrumptious celebration buffet was served, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The group meets every Friday afternoon, welcoming all individuals interested in experiencing the joy of dancing.

Although another coronation celebration is not guaranteed, the classes promise a relaxed and sociable environment.

For those seeking more adventure, U3A offers an array of exciting excursions and holidays.

Recently, members of the excursions' group enjoyed a delightful visit to Hughenden Manor.

The sunny day provided the perfect backdrop as they immersed themselves in the rich history of the manor and the renowned Disraeli family. Even Gladstone made an appearance.

The outing continued with a satisfying lunch at the manor's café, followed by a stop at the picturesque town of Marlow.

Meanwhile, others are eagerly anticipating an upcoming trip to St Albans, where they will explore the town's cathedral, park, and charming buildings.

Additionally, there are a few remaining spots available for an enchanting journey to the Isle of Wight.

Adding a musical twist, U3A is also considering the formation of a ukulele group at the end of June.

If you possess basic ukulele skills and are retired or semi-retired, this might be the perfect opportunity to join fellow enthusiasts and strum away to your heart's content.

With a single membership fee of £25, participants gain access to over 80 diverse activities until September, providing an abundance of opportunities for personal growth and social engagement.
