BASINGSTOKE TOWN FC will take on Premier League side AFC Bournemouth at Fratton Park in the final of the Hampshire Senior Cup after they demolished Aldershot 5-0.

'Stoke steamed to victory when they played an Aldershot XI in the semi-final on Tuesday night, with a hattrick from George Reid, and goals from Bradley Wilson and Ben Cook sealing the win for Dan Brownlie's men.

The win means they will now face a Bournemouth XI in the final, which will take place at Fratton Park, home Portsmouth FC.

The fixture is due to take place on Wednesday, May 10, and is one of two cup finals the Dragons have reached in what has been an eventful season.

This Saturday, April 22, will see Basingstoke take on South Park Reigate in the final league game of the season at the Winklebury Sports Complex.

A win could see 'Stoke gain automatic promotion as champions, providing other results end favourably.

Basingstoke currently sit second in the Isthmian League Southern Central Division, with 86 points, only behind Walton&Hersham on goal difference.
