Hartley Wintney recovered from a two-goal half time deficit to force a replay against Conference South side Bath City in FA Cup.

The goal scoring heroes for the Row were second-half substitutes Kingsley Eshun and Anis Nuur.

Hartley had an early chance in the fourth minute when a Matt Drage pass found overlapping Reese Jones who shot well wide.

The Romans scored the first goal of the game when they successfully completed a counter attack in the 31st minute. A through ball saw Cody Cooke behind the Row defence and his shot across the goal hit the post. Alex Fletcher was on hand to force the ball into the net (1-0).

Bath finished the half with an edge in play and doubled their lead on 43 minutes.  Smith created an opening for Cooke who fired into the net from the edge of the penalty box.  (2-0)

Like the first half the opening 20 minutes were very subdued with City seemingly content to hold their lead.

The introduction of substitutes Kingsley Eshun and Anis Nuur saw the Row looking more threatening and they pulled a goal back on 70 minutes.  Tom Leggett made good progress down the right and his goal bound shot saw Wright parry leaving Eshun to force the ball into the net from close range. (2-1)

Hartley pulled level on 76 minutes with an excellent goal. Cooksley and Teddy Davey combined well and fed Nuur. The substitute midfielder created space and curled a delightful shot into the top corner of the net with Wright well beaten. (2-2)

City pressed hard for the winner and the Row goal had a few narrow escapes.

The replay will take place next Tuesday at the Memorial Ground, Hartley Wintney, with a 7.30pm kick off.
