TRAIN users from Basingstoke have been warned to plan their travels ahead of the RMT union strike.
The RMT union has announced that they will be taking industrial action on Wednesday, July 27.
More than 2,100 SWR RMT members and Network Rail signallers will be on strike.

South Western Railway (SWR) has now issued an urgent warning to train users as it expects the strike to severely affect the train timetable, with significant part of the network closed.
Residents are urged to only travel by rail if absolutely necessary on the strike days.
SWR said a late-starting service will operate across the network on Thursday, July 28.

For Waterloo to Basingstoke
- Two trains per hour each way
- First train from Waterloo: 07.15am
- Last train from Waterloo: 5.45pm
- First train from Basingstoke: 07.24am
- Last train from Basingstoke: 4.54pm
- Services will call at: London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Surbiton, Woking, Brookwood, Farnborough, Fleet, Winchfield, Hook, Basingstoke.
For Basingstoke to Southampton
- 2 fast trains per hour each way
- First train from Waterloo: 07.30am
- Last train from Waterloo: 1700
- First train from Southampton: 0730
- Last train from Southampton: 1659
- Services will call at: London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Woking, Basingstoke, Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton Airport Parkway, Southampton Central.
