A ONE-stop shop to learn instruments has now opened.
Anvil Arts’ Musication Station in Festival Place launched on Thursday last week in an evening was attended by guests which included deputy leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Councillor Terri Reid.
The guests were treated to live music from local musicians Kevin and the Vandals, and Riley K, after which the musicians shared how they first became involved in music.
After this, the guests were encouraged to have a go themselves.
The Musication Station will be available for the next two weekends, giving anyone under the age of 25 the chance to have a go at playing guitar, bass, electric drums, and keyboard for free.
Slots are one hour long per instrument and professional musicians will be on hand to answer any questions.
There will also be special workshops such as creating a vegetable orchestra, digital music-making and writing a song in a day.
