A CAT was rescued by firefighters as they fought a fire in a Tadley home.
Crews from the Basingstoke, Tadley and Rushmoor stations were called to the home in Sandy Lane at 2.35pm on Thursday to reports of a fire in a first floor bedroom.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to tackle the fire which was kept to only the bedroom, not spreading further.
No injuries were reported and the cat rescued by the firefighters and taken to a vet for checks.
Firefighters were stood down at 4.45pm.
