THE fruits of a year of fundraising by a golf club have been presented to three good causes.
Weybrook Park Captain’s Drive-in took place on Sunday, 8 April at the golf club in Rooksdown Way which is the annual handover of the captaincies to the incumbents.
The event also marks the end of fundraising for the outgoing captain's charities with Cheque presentations were made to three charities: Breast Cancer UK, St Michaels Hospice and BLESMA, British Limbless Ex Servicemen’s Association.
The ladies section captain presented a cheque for £1,210 to Breast Cancer UK, seniors section captain Bob Lawrence presented a cheque for £2,500 to St Michaels Hospice and club captain Kevan Burnett presented a cheque for £1303.60 to BLESMA.
