WHITCHURCH has once again been honoured by Walkers are Welcome.
The town was the first in north Hampshire to be an accredited member of the Walkers are Welcome tourism network in 2015 and has renewed that accreditation this year.
The steering committee behind the Whitchurch group of the organisation was told the town is “a great example of a Walkers are Welcome town” by the national board after its latest Annual Return, which graded Whitchurch as ‘excellent’ in all 14 categories.
The local group thanked the work of volunteers behind the organisation and support from Whitchurch Town Council.
