PANTOMIME audiences dug deep to give a children’s charity a boost.... oh yes they did.
The Anvil’s nominated charity this year during its pantomime Peter Pan was Sebastian’s Action Trust, and the charity’s supporters and volunteers collected donations after each performance, with The Anvil’s audiences giving generously and raising £6,647.71.
Hannah Bowler, fundraising manager at Sebastian’s Action Trust, said: “We were so well received not only by the audiences from the show, but the cast and staff at The Anvil as well”.
The money raised will go towards supporting families of seriously ill children. The cast of the panto, sponsored by The Gazette, visited Bluebells, the trust’s house in North Waltham, while they were in Basingstoke.
The residence provides respite for children and their families affected by serious and life-threatening illness and disabilities.
