A pub in Popley was evacuated after a hoax bomb threat was made yesterday.
Police confirmed athey received a call from a man at 8.44pm saying he had placed a bomb at the Popinjay pub and was going to set it off.
The premises was evacuated while a search took place.
Police added nothing suspicious was found and any threat to the public was quickly eliminated.
A spokesperson say enquiries are ongoing into the source of the call, which is being treated as a hoax.
