AN ELDERLY man’s bank card was stolen after he was approached by someone offering to remove Ivy growing up his property.

In the afternoon of Tuesday, March 21, a male offered to get rid of Ivy at a property in Oakley and an elderly man paid up front for the service.

The job has not been completed and access was gained to the property where a bank card was stolen.

The male is described as:

  • Mixed race
  • 35-years-old
  • Wearing high visibility jacket
  • In the company of a 10-year-old white male
  • Drove a vehicle described as a high-sided tipper truck with tree surgery type sign on it

Police have reminded residents to never buy any services or goods from the doorstep and report suspicious incidents by calling 101.
