THE Gazette is offering readers a special opportunity to watch and meet some of the musical stars of the swinging sixties in a special competition,
Stars such including The Searchers, Brian Poole & The Tremeloes and Gary Puckett & Union Gap will be descending on Reading’s The Hexagon for ‘Sixties Gold’ and The Gazette is giving two tickets to meet the stars and see them perform exclusively next month.

The sound behind some of the decade’s’ biggest tracks such as ‘Sweets for My Sweet’, ‘Needles and Pins’ and ‘Don’t Throw Your Love Away’, The Searchers have enjoyed almost 60 years of recording and touring since starting life as a group in Liverpool in 1959.

They will be joined by hit-machine Brian Poole & The Tremeloes – an Essex beat band who broke Liverpool’s stranglehold on British music with the high-energy classics ‘Twist and Shout’ and chart-topper ‘Do You Love Me’.
But the fun doesn’t stop here.

Former Melody Maker teen idol award winner P J Proby, the American voice famed for the tracks ‘Hold Me’, ‘Somewhere’ and ‘Maria’, will be making an appearance whilst Wayne Fontana, the Mancunian artist who boasts ‘Game of Love’ and ‘Um Um Um Um Um’ in his vast back catalogue, will also be taking to the stage.

The final name performing is Gary Puckett & Union Gap who’s timeless classic ‘Young Girl’ will no doubt offer one of the night’s genuine highlights.

For your chance to witness this incredible night of music before meeting these legends of the sixties, simply answer this one simple question.
