ST MICHAEL'S Hospice is on the lookout for sponsorship for its annual golf tournament.
The eighth successful charity golf event, which raises much-needed funds for north Hampshire's only hospice, will be held at Basingstoke's Weybrook Park Golf Club on Thursday, September 13.
Doreen Bolton, who is responsible for fundraising corporate development at the hospice, said: "We have some excellent sponsorship packages to match all types of business needs, ranging from £250 to £5,000.
"The sponsorship packages are tailored to provide a great day's golfing and a way to reward company's customers, colleagues or associates, with the added bonus of supporting a very good cause."
For those who are not able to take up a sponsorship package, Mrs Bolton suggests entering a fourball team. There are also advertising opportunities in the event's programme.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the hospice at Basil de Ferranti House, in the grounds of Basingstoke hospital, as well as being Weybrook Park's 10th anniversary.
The proceeds from the tournament will be going directly to St Michael's Hospice.
This year it will cost about £2million to fund the hospice, of which 33 per cent comes from the Hampshire Primary Care Trust, while the remaining £1.3m must be generated through fundraising.
