A BLAZE ripped through a kitchen in a block of flats in Basingstoke on Saturday night.
Firefighters from Basingstoke station were called to the flat in Solby's Road, just after 7pm after they received a call saying they could see smoke coming from a window.
The blaze was contained to the flats kitchen and was dealt with by two firefighters with breathing apparatus who extinguished the flames.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “There was no further damage to the property, as the flames were kept to the kitchen.
“Firefighters had to use fans to clear the building of smoke but nobody was injured and our team responded quickly to the incident.”
