POLICE have charged a man with burglary after he was found in an empty Basingstoke building.
Officers were called to Pelton Road, Basingstoke at around 12.50pm yesterday following reports of a suspicious male entering the Eli Lilly building through an insecure fence.
The building is currently vacant but is owned by Sentinel Housing Association who have been granted planning permission to build nearly 600 homes on the site.
Officers searched the building and located the man who was arrested and later charged with a non-dwelling burglary.
Kevin Graham, 42, of Basingstoke, will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on October 15.
