OVER 30 new homes could be built in Headley if plans are given the green light by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Charles Church Southern has applied to the borough council for permission to build 35 new homes on land off Ashford Hill Road, in Headley.
The developer has proposed a housing mix of seven two-bedroom properties, 10 three-bedroom properties, seven four-bedroom properties and 11 five-bedroom properties, including 40 per cent affordable housing.
If approved, a 31-space community car park will be created for those living at the development.
The application says: “The site is well contained within an existing road network with mature boundary hedging and trees. This land area allows for a development that will relate to the existing settlement and structure of Ashford Hill.
“This proposal presents the opportunity to make a worthwhile contribution towards the overall need for housing and affordable housing within Ashford Hill and the local area, providing a mix of housing size, types and tenure which reflects the local housing requirements.”
It adds: “This proposal provides the opportunity to deliver a well-designed development which will form an attractive living environment for future residents.”
A decision on the application is expected to be made before by July 6.
