AN INQUEST has opened this morning into the death of an Old Basing man whose body was found next to a tricycle.
The body of Roger Compton, 60, was discovered in Bagwell Lane, Winchfield, at 8.12am on Saturday, May 9.
A tricycle, which police believe he was riding, was also found.
Andrew Bradley, coroner for North East Hampshire, opened an inquest into the death this morning.
He adjourned the hearing until Monday, June 29, at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
A post mortem revealed a cause of death as fracture and dislocation of the neck.
Hampshire Constabulary said previously that there was no indication that the man and the tricycle were involved in a collision with another vehicle, or that anyone else was involved.
