A YOUNG woman had to be freed from her car after it rolled off the A339 in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Kingsclere and Basingstoke fire stations were called to the A399 near Wolverton at 3am this morning to reports that a car had come off the road and “rolled a number of times” before balancing on a tree.
Firefighters took an hour to stabilise the car, remove the driver and rear passenger doors from the car and cut the framework separating the doors to free the woman, who was in her twenties.
South Central Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew, an ambulance officer and its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the scene and the woman was taken to Basingstoke hospital with “non-life threatening” neck and back injuries.
No further details are known.
