KEITH Chegwin received a positive reaction from the crowd last night after finishing fourth in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
The 58-year-old, who lives in Ashmansworth, near Highclere, made it to the last day of the month-long show, but was evicted before party boy Calum Best, controversial columnist Katie Hopkins and the eventual winner, Katie Price.
The former Cheggers Plays Pop presenter said while his time in the house had been a “nightmare”, he “actually quite enjoyed it”.
The father-of-two entered the Channel 5 programme straight after a month-long stint playing Buttons in Cinderella, this year’s Gazette-backed pantomime at The Anvil in Basingstoke.
Keith started off as the favourite to win the competition, but his odds widened before last night’s public vote.
