BABIES, toddlers and youngsters from in and around Basingstoke will be lining up to have their pictures taken over the next two weeks – and one of them will be crowned the Cute Kids 2015 winner.

Gazette Newspapers, Tesco Chineham, Toys R Us, at Brighton Hill, and Fraser Portraits have teamed up to stage this year’s popular Cute Kids competition.

As in previous years, there will be three categories – 0 to nine months, 10 to 18 months and 19 to 36 months. Photographs will be taken in Toys R Us at Brighton Hill, from February 10 to February 15, from 10am to 4pm.

Entry to the competition is by original voucher only – one will be printed in the edition of Thursday, February 12.

Parents or adult relatives or carers who accompany youngsters to a photo session must take a voucher along to have one child’s sitting done free of charge.

The photos will then be available to view, and orders can be placed to purchase, when Fraser Portraits return to put the pictures on display in Tesco Chineham on February 12 and 13, and Toys R Us from February 18 to 20, from 10am to 4pm on each day.

Parents or carers can also choose which individual photo appears in our Cute Kids 2015 picture special.

This year, the Cute Kids special will appear in The Gazette of March 19 – and then readers will have the chance to vote for their favourites.

The readers’ votes will determine the shortlist of finalists, and the winners and runners-up in each category will then be chosen by a panel of judges.

There will also be an overall winner – so all of this year’s contestants will be bidding to follow in the footsteps of 2014 overall champ Harry Mead.
