PANTO stars are set to transform Tadley into a twinkling winter wonderland when they switch on the Christmas lights tomorrow.
The popular annual event will see CBeebies star Katy Ashworth, panto stalwart Sarah Louise Day and West End actor Ben Harlow – who will all be performing in Cinderella in The Anvil over the festive season – switch on the lights.
The evening will begin at 6pm with the opening of a Christmas market in the Ambrose Allen Centre, in Franklin Avenue, where Christmas gifts such as toys, jewellery and hand-made crafts will be on offer at a selection of stalls.
A merry-go-round and Santa’s Grotto will be based outside the centre, and a juggler and singing reindeer will entertain the crowds.
Food will be available and free mince pies will be provided by Sainsbury’s, Mulfords Hill.
Carol singing will begin at 6pm with singing by students from Burnham Copse School, followed at 6.30pm by Tadley Band, The Hurst Singers and Tadley Singers. The lights switch-on will take place at 7pm.
