AN INVESTIGATION has begun into a crash in Sherborne St John which left a young man with multiple injuries.
The 21-year-old driver of a Ford Fiesta was trapped in his car for two hours after colliding side-on with a tree in Vyne Road, at its junction with Morgaston Road, just before 9.30pm on Tuesday, August 12.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with multiple injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
As reported in The Gazette, firefighters from Basingstoke fire station worked through a planned strike to free the man from the car.
A 22-year-old man was treated for concussion and a 19-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries. Both were passengers in the car.
