TWO elderly women were freed from a car that overturned on a rural road.
Firefighters carried out the rescue after the car overturned at around 1.30pm this afternoon on the B3046 near Nutley.
The road was closed in both directions for two hours while crews from Basingstoke fire station removed the back seats of the car and helped lift the ladies out using spinal boards.
The women did not receive serious injuries.
