FORMER QMC student Edward Higgins celebrated success last month when his first book Conversations With Spirits was published.
Edward left QMC in 1996 and was discovered by Stephen Fry on the website Jottify – a creative platform for writers and poets.
The book – published by London publishing company Unbound – is set in the time of the Great War and involves an array of wild and vivid characters, one of whom is the author of Sherlock Holmes.
Conversations With Spirits has been released in shops and certainly promises to be an interesting read.
QMC English teacher Terry Cree has also published his own book, entitled Fruit.
With beautiful poems, images and pencil drawings, the book has been described as a “moving meditation”.
The success of both the alumni and current teaching staff at QMC continues to inspire students’ studies for the future.
