THE outcome of a controversial plan for 30 new houses on an allotment site in Whitchurch has been delayed after the borough council and developers agreed to extend the decision period.
As previously reported in The Gazette, developer St Cross applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in August 2013 to build the homes on Caesars Way – a move that was strongly opposed by the town council’s development committee in October.
Concerns raised by the committee included access to the site and increased noise. The application will now be decided by June 4.
