WHITCHURCH residents are being asked to help determine how their town should develop over the next 15 years.

The Whitchurch Neighbourhood Plan will form the basis of future development in Whitchurch.

It will set out how the community wants to see the parish develop, where new homes and business areas should be built, and where green spaces and recreational areas are needed.

Volunteers working on the plan are running a series of events, at which residents and businesses can find out more, outline their views and speak with those involved.

The events will be held at Whitchurch Parish Hall this Saturday, from 9am until 2pm, next Wednesday, March 5 from 5pm until 9pm and Saturday, March 8 from 9am until 2pm.

David George, chair of the Neighbourhood Plan steering committee, said: “The Neighbourhood Plan is a unique opportunity for us to shape the future of Whitchurch.

"These events are the first stage, where people can describe what they feel makes Whitchurch so special, and how they’d like to see it develop in the future. I encourage everyone to come along and have their say.”
