A FOOTBALL tournament will take place in Basing-stoke to raise money for seriously injured or ill Royal Marines.
The match, which will take place at the Power league complex, in Brighton Way, Brighton Hill, will kick off at 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 9.
It will raise funds for the Royal Marines Hasler Company – the unit dedicated to Royal Marines who need catered recovery programmes.
Thief drives off with car A THIEF stole a car parked on a street in Chineham.
The estate car, a grey Citroen C5 with a CN52 YVS registration plate, was taken some time between 2pm and 10pm on Thursday, September 26 when it was parked in Stockbridge Close.
PC Dave Catchpole has appealed for anyone who saw anyone unusual hanging around the area, or tampering with the car, to contact him at Basingstoke police station on 101.
