DETECTIVES investigating carjacking incidents in Basingstoke have charged a second man.
Garri Collins, aged 30, from Sussex, has been charged with attempted robbery, robbery, tampering with a motor vehicle, two counts of aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and using a vehicle without insurance.
Joseph Butler, aged 35, from Chichester in West Sussex, was previously charged with attempted robbery, robbery, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving while disqualified, using a motor vehicle without insurance and two counts of aggravated vehicle taking.
Both sets of charges are in relation to incidents on Tuesday, October 30, which involved suspicious activity on the M3, an attempted robbery at Sony Business Park in Jays Close, a robbery in Gainsborough Road, Basingstoke and an incident where a vehicle was stolen in Diana Close, Basingstoke.
