A PROFESSIONAL theatre company is appealing for Hampshire residents to be involved on stage in a number of acting scenes.

Lipservice Theatre Company is seeking 30 men and women of all ages who are willing to take part by learning simple acting, music and movement for performances of The Picture of Doreen Gray at Theatre Royal Winchester on April 16 and 17.

No auditions are necessary but applicants must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances.

Award-winning Lip Service have been regular visitors to Theatre Royal Winchester with their often bizarre, and always comic, interpretations of classics. Now they are turning their attention to Doreen – rather than Dorian – Gray and are looking for willing members of the community to perform live in the show.

There will be four rehearsals a few days prior to the performances to rehearse four musical numbers and scenes portraying Doreen's old school friends, fairies, animal welfare activists and many more.

Applicants must be 18 or over but there is no upper age limit. They do not have to audition to take part or have any previous theatre experience, but should be willing to have fun.
