LUCY Ellinson stars in acclaimed one-woman theatrical production Grounded, which arrives in Basingstoke next month.
She's a hot-rod F16 fighter pilot. She's pregnant. Her career in the sky is over. Now, she sits in an air-conditioned trailer in Las Vegas flying remote-controlled drones over Pakistan.
She struggles through surreal twelve hour shifts far from the battlefield - hunting terrorists by day and being a wife and mother by night.
Grounded, presented by The Gate Theatre, is a gripping, compulsive new play that flies from the heights of lyricism to the shallows of workaday existence, targeting our assumptions about war, family, and what it is to be a woman.
See it in Central Studio on the QMC campus on Tuesday, February 3 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced £10.50 full, concessions £9.50, students and children £6.
