THIS year's Anvil pantomime dames marked their arrival in town with a shopping spree in The Malls and Festival Place.
Performers Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph will play Cilla and Daisy Hardup in Cinderella opposite Keith Chegwin as Buttons and CBeebies’ Katy Ashworth as the Fairy Godmother.
Tarot was born in Basingstoke, as was Sarah Louise Day, who plays Cinderella.
Andrea Bath, press officer from The Anvil, said: “Our panto dames, ugly sisters Cilla and Daisy Hardup, took to the shops in Basingstoke for some retail therapy before rehearsals of Cinderella got underway.
“Cilla and Daisy got in some last minute Christmas shopping while they had the chance.
“Hopefully they didn’t cause too much chaos!”
Cinderella runs in The Anvil from December 11 - January 4.
