ONE of this year’s Anvil Arts pantomime stars, CBeebies’ Katy Ashworth, paid a visit to some local infant schools today.
The presenter, who is well-known as the host of I Can Cook, was delighted to meet Year R and Year One pupils at Kempshott Infant School and Oakley Infant School.
Katy ‘taught’ the children the Six Rules of Panto. These included when to cheer and when to boo, learning when to shout ’he’s behind you’, and learning a song and dance ready for the songsheet at the end of the performance.
As is typical of a panto, the morning’s visits were full of lots of audience participation!
Andrea Bath from The Anvil said: "The children really got into the spirit, joining in with the shout-outs and actions.
"We hope to see some of them in the audiences for Cinderella at Christmas."
See Katy in Cinderella, opposite Keith Chegwin, at The Anvil from December 11 until January 4.
