THE extended diploma performing arts and music students present the student version of Victor Hugo’s epic story Les Miserables this week.
Performances begin tonight, Wednesday, February 12, in Queen Mary's Hall, QMC and continue until Saturday, February 15.
This famous musical recounts the struggle against adversity in 19th century France.
Featuring numbers such as I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own and One Day More, this famous stage musical version of Les Miserables is set to stir the heart and build on the success of previous productions including Tommy, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and last year's Miss Saigon.
This musical by Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schonberg is based on the novel by Victor Hugo with additional material by James Fenton and orchestrations by John Cameron.
The original London production was directed and adapted by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, and produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
Tickets priced £9 full, £7 concessions, £5 students & children, £22 family (2 adults, 2 children), are available from the box office on 01256 418318 or online at centralstudio.co.uk.
